Individual Membership

The Classic Car Club concept was invented and developed by us - we are the original and best! We opened in London in 1995, and Edinburgh in 2001. Since opening in Scotland we've grown from 8 cars to the awesome fleet you see today.

Like all great ideas, we've had many pale imitators. Whilst many of these imitations rapidly go belly-up, usually due to over-borrowing and over-estimating demand, Classic Car Club, Scotland is still wholly owned by the two who founded it back in 2001. It has never had any borrowings, debt or overdraft, and none of the cars have ever been leased from financing companies. Whilst in life there are very few certainties, given that we’ve just invested the thick end of £200,000 in new metal, we expect to be around for a long time yet! And if you are still in any way worried, just pay us by credit card or use our pay monthly system.

Subscription to the Club provides members with access to a wide selection of classic sports, saloon, super and touring cars owned and operated by the Club. In the same way that members of, for example, a golf club are entitled to use the club's facilities by reason of their membership, members of the Classic Car Club are free to drive and enjoy the Club's stable of fine classic cars.

How Membership Works

Upon payment of a one-off joining fee and thereafter an annual subscription, standard members of the Club receive an allocation of 250 points, which can be exchanged throughout the year for days behind the wheel of any of the Club's stable of classic sports, saloon and touring cars. Following payment of the annual subscription, the only costs for the member are the day-to-day running costs involved in using the cars, namely petrol and other sundries. All the other costs attached to owning and operating the cars (insurance, tax, maintenance, repair, storage, security, breakdown recovery etc) are covered by the subscription fee.

The cars are bookable in advance for periods up to seven days. There is no need to return the cars each night unless you choose to do so. Each booking is based on a nominal 24-hour period, so a car collected at 11 a.m. on a Tuesday for two days is due back around the same time on Thursday.

Late bookings are often available. Call us on the spur of the moment and if the car that you want is in you can be off within minutes!

Club membership is renewable on a yearly basis. The membership year starts not when payment is made, but from the day the first car is taken, and runs for a calendar year from then.

The Classic Car Club bears no relation to timeshare schemes, whereby the subscriber is tied into an agreement for a period of several years. If a member wishes to leave at the end of the first year, he or she is free to do so.
